Nova High School
NAVY JUNIOR RESERVE OFFICER TRAINING CORPS
MISSION STATEMENT
Our program's mission is to instill in Nova High School Cadets the values of Citizenship, service to the United States, personal responsibility and a sense of accomplishment.
Since our Unit's Commissioning in 2003, the Instructors and Cadets of "Titan Battalion" strive to live up to the Navy's motto of "Honor, Courage, Commitment". Nova High School Navy JROTC unit enjoys a central location drawing students from every part of Broward County. We are proud of our extremely supportive school and community and strive to stay active in school and community service projects. The Navy Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (NJROTC) program is a cooperative effort on the part of the United States Navy and Nova High School to provide high school students opportunities for total development through athleticism, academic adeptness, and citizenship. The Titan Battalion has been a consistently excellent resource to the local community, Nova High School, the National NJROTC program, and the cadets involved.
"Academic Excellence within the Titan Battalion!"
"Under the command of Chief Warrant Officer 5 John Salgado, Nova’s NJROTC recently recognized cadets for their academic excellence at the end of the first quarter. Cadets from each platoon who excelled academically were awarded JROTC Academic Stars: cadets with A's and B's received one star, while those with straight A's received two stars."
"These stars are proudly displayed on their Navy Service Uniforms, right above the JROTC pin on the left collar, making it easy to spot these high-achieving cadets on campus. Congratulations to these cadets for their hard work and dedication!"
